We Are All One: Are You Sure That Your Beliefs Are Correct?

  • Yashua · 1 year ago
    I am confused by this.
I'm trying to understand, but if none of the beliefs i have are true and have no foundation at all... then what's left... or whats true?
it can't be nothingness, that im sure
I believe in God (the Father, the Creator, etc.) but i do so because of what i've been taught, and well i suppose i can feel Him whithin me and see His greatness in this amazing creation, the Universe.
However, “I don’t know absolutely for sure that this is true.”
    :(

Yeah Yashua, the mind will still want to understand, but ultimately what you will find on "the other side" is not anything that can be understood by the mind. What this exercise will help you with is reaching beyond the mind entirely by clearly realizing the mind's inability to recognize absolute truth.

As you're finding, it's not a comfortable feeling to the ego because this exercise contributes to ultimately dissolving the ego entirely.

What's left when all beliefs fall away is the pure experience of ultimate reality. Spirituality is experiential, not a belief system.

Not only is thought not a method for realizing absolute truth, it's not a method for defining yourself. Whether you believe you're awesome or you're a piece of crap, they're both equally unfounded and true only as long as you believe them. This means that you can be whatever you want, whenever you want, just by decision. After all that trying to figure out what caused this flaw in you and what caused that flaw in you and trying to heal yourself and all that... after all of that effort, it turns out everything is simply up to you to decide. =-o
